Refund Policy
Effective Date: January 01, 2025
At Toast & Oats LLC, we are committed to delivering high-quality services, educational programming, and client experiences. Due to the time-sensitive and resource-intensive nature of our work, we have established the following refund policies for workshops, services, and events:
1. Consulting & Retainer-Based Services
Non-Refundable Retainer Policy
All consulting, product development, and brand strategy projects require an upfront retainer to initiate services. This retainer secures time, talent, and resource allocation from our team and strategic partners. Therefore:
All retainers are nonrefundable once the Scope of Work is accepted and project kickoff begins.
If a project is canceled prior to kickoff (before any strategic planning, meetings, or work is performed), a partial refund may be considered, minus administrative costs and scheduling time.
If Toast & Oats must cancel the engagement for any reason prior to beginning work, a full refund will be issued within 10 business days.
Project Payment Terms
Additional installment payments, where applicable, must be made on the schedule outlined in your client agreement. Work may be paused or withheld if payments are delayed beyond the agreed timeline.
2. Workshops, Events & Classes
Refund Window
Toast & Oats offers full refunds for public workshops and culinary classes if canceled at least 7 business days prior to the scheduled event.
Within 7 Days of the Event:
Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled date are nonrefundable due to fixed kitchen rental, ingredient sourcing, and staffing expenses. However, we may offer:
Credit toward a future workshop (valid for 6 months)
Transfer to another guest (must notify us 48 hours in advance)
No-Shows:
Registrants who do not attend a workshop or class and do not notify us in advance will not be eligible for a refund or credit.
Rescheduled or Canceled Events (by Toast & Oats):
If Toast & Oats cancels or reschedules a class or event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., inclement weather, chef illness, kitchen conflicts), all registered guests will be given the option of:
A full refund
A rescheduled class of equal value
A class credit (valid for up to 12 months)
3. Custom Catering, Private Pop-Ups, and Studio Rentals
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, which is nonrefundable.
Full payment is due at least 5 days before the event, unless otherwise stated in writing.
Events canceled within 72 hours of the scheduled date are nonrefundable.
If we must cancel your event due to a facility issue or external disruption (e.g., venue closures, emergency situations), you will receive a full refund or rebooking option.
Force Majeure / Uncontrollable Circumstances
Toast & Oats is not liable for delays or non-performance caused by conditions beyond our reasonable control, including:
Acts of nature (earthquakes, floods, fires)
Public health emergencies (e.g., COVID-19-related restrictions)
Labor strikes, lockouts, or disruptions to utilities
Government mandates or restrictions
In such cases, we will do our best to reschedule services or issue credits where appropriate.
